Who We Are

A Wood Shed is a family owned Timber and Hardware business catering specifically for the building industry. The owner was inspired to start the business 15 years ago, when as a builder he was frustrated by the difficulty of obtaining specialised building products, and by the lack of personalised communication with the retail outlets he was dealing with. He saw a niche market to provide quality competitively priced products with an emphasis on personal service. The business was begun at Darra, and in 2006 expanded to another depot at Brassall on the Warrego Highway.

A Wood Shed’s management team has many years of building and timber industry experience. We pride ourselves on the friendly, efficient and knowledgeable help and support delivered by all employees. Our business is strengthened through attention to the quality of products, our competitive prices, and the excellent customer service provided by the employees of the business. We are well regarded for the availability of personal contact with the management.

A Wood Shed endeavours to source materials from licensed logging both local and overseas with a known provenance, proven by genetic testing or a Greenpeace certificate.

 

Both depots maintain a comprehensive range of products, and in addition can quickly procure a wide range of engineered and non-standard items.

Our Mission

A Wood Shed will continue to grow while maintaining the quality, pricing and service standards on which our reputation has been built, giving priority to client satisfaction whilst fostering positive work-friendly work-place relations and providing a safe and friendly working environment which values employees.
